That's definitely an old school lnb and feed. You don't have to scrape it at all Turbo and I bet you would get excellent signal quality with it. The blue box is the servo motor which flips polarity between horizontal and vertical or left and right for circular sats, also to be able to skew your feed. You'll need to use this with a receiver that can accomodate those servo wires Turbo like an old pansat receiver- cool thing about it is that you can skew your feed using your remote.

That feed will not work on most circular sats but will scan in several tp Nss806. In order to scan all circular sats properly you'll need a wideband corotor like I used to have years back. Here's a link to what I mean, in no way do I endorse this shop but just came up in a google search:

Exactly, works for both linear and circular on c band. I use to scan in 200 channels at 40.5w but only about 20 now. I had skew and polarity issues with it so I decided on just going with a linear lnbf.
