I seem to bve having some issues watching internet tv with my anaconda. You tube and CNet have no issues but whenever I attempt to add a site I keep getting the same message:

This url has unsupported protocol

What am I doing wrong?

I have the Raptor which I guess has the same plugin as the Anaconda.

Just to test, I started the Internet TV+ program and typed the following.
[URL]
hxxp://ziln.co.nz/assets/videos/airsidetv/files/520p/A_milestone_first_flight_for_Airbus_Sharklets_1000 kb.mp4
[DESCRIPTION]
Aviation
[TYPE]
FILE

It seems to work for me.
Haven't tried other URLs, it's a pain to use the remote control to enter the info.

Found another way of entering info into Internet TV+ without having to type in the info.

Create a TXT file on PC and enter the following:

--- Code: ---[TITLE]
Ziln AirsideTV
[URL]
[Only registered and activated users can see links] kb.mp4
[DESCRIPTION]
If you are in to aviation, AirsideTV is for you. If it flies we'll try and feature it, from A380s to air trikes
[TYPE]
FILE
--- End code ---

Save TXT file with name of url_list.txt and save to USB drive.

then start Internet TV+ on your receiver, while in program, insert USB in to front port and a popup will appear asking you if you want to install file. Yes, and it will automatically add the above URL to your play list.

The popup menu disappears really fast; if you don't hit the yes button, you must reinsert the USB drive again.

Also, there's a program free trial for 60 days called URL Snooper that will help you find URLs that you can use on your receiver.

Really enjoying this receiver.

I think only HTTP streaming is supported. Other protocols like RTSP, RTP, MMSH are not.
I haven't test with the new FW myself though.

I always opted for live instead of file and I never entered the entire addy. I'll give it another shot later and report back.

Ok, I changed the url to http and I don't get that message anymore but it doesn't seem to connect. I know I'm connected to the internet as you tube plays flawlessly.

What's the URL? I'll give it a try on mine.

Oooookay....

The reason Internet TV+ won't play this site is because the site has embedded sub URLs and it can't differentiate what to play. You have to explicitly tell it what URL to play. Example, from that MAIN website is a sub URL:

hxxp://cdn1.public.youporn.phncdn.com/201205/01/7737230/480p_370k_7737230/YouPorn%20-%20Glass%20dildo%20in%20tight%20pussy.mp4

The way to find the sub URLs is to use the Snooper program I mentioned earlier.

Now this is all for educational purposes ONLY. Heheheh....

Still can't get it too go, even the cnet file that came with the receiver doesn't work either. Might give that snooper program a try.

I loaded you tube and lost the cnet file altogether. Darn, I broke cnet!!

Cnet was just a file that came with the receiver, I can't get anything to open on internet Tv+.

Just tried it again and yes it does overwrite the Cnet file. Didn't do that before. I used the Airbus 300 file and it plays, but I lost the Cnet file. While playing the Airbus 300 file, it still says CNet The Buzz Report.
Don't know if it's a bug in Internet TV+ or something else. Tried earlier loading a SYS file I had saved earlier and it didn't rectify the problem. Going to reload the original bin that came with my receiver and see if it happens again.

Same here, my CNET file is not playing after trying to add a new URL.

After much angst (ticked off), I reloaded FAC.Optibox.RAPTOR.NTSC.v2.10.29.2012Mar26 and it did not restore the CNet file. It maintained the original Airbus file I had uploaded, which still plays fine. I uploaded another mp4 file from CNN and it also plays fine, plus 3 others that did not play. The program is very finicky as to what mp4 files it will play.

The reason CNet disappears is because when you install a NEW file it will over write the current file that is currently highlighted at the bottom of the screen where it shows as <rectangular boxes with names>. The only way around this is to hit the red button and add false info and save. A new rectangular box will appear at the bottom. Highlight that box and then when you insert your USB stick, it will install all the information correctly into that box.

Also, the reason LIVE doesn't work properly is because the URL address you are trying to reach will be checked by that URL server to see if it requires permission to enter that site. In other words, login/password.

Hope this clears up the confusion.

Here is another oddity. Installed a URL for Extreme Knockouts and it did NOT overwrite an existing URL file.

After playing it, I edited and change it from LIVE to FILE. It plays in both ways.

[TITLE]
Extreme Knockouts
[URL]
[Only registered and activated users can see links]
[DESCRIPTION]
Compilation of knockouts
[TYPE]
LIVE
