ok so i have a gekko hd.and software at ;hs v2.10.31.if i update to version to;v2.10.57,will that make me me loose my sat's settings?will i have to rescan sat's?thanks.

Like the Anaconda and Raptor you should be able to save your settings through the menu right to the box it will store your settings, or as an extra precaution use a USB stick also. It's always nice to have a backup either way.

As long as you don't do a factory reset, all your settings should be saved and be there once the box reboots.
