I guess YouTube stopped working in the Raptor also.

YouTube is working ok on my Raptor, but we may not be running the same firmware.

Ditto what el bandido said. It's the Weather Forcast that isn't working for me on any firmware.

I tried the You Tube feature for the first time yesterday, I can navigate to You Tube web pages, but the videos won't play. Hmmnn..

Because you need Firmware 2.11.01 to fix Youtube, and yes the Weather functions is broken in this release.

One interesting new function that I noticed, when playing a recording you can now press epg and set programs to record while something is playing back.

The problem is not fully fixed yet. It is just a workaround.
The 2.11.01 it is not an official SW for Optibox.

To clarify, We have people using other Fortis receivers in this forum such as UltraPlus.

Some people are using different firmware on their Optibox. Why? Because there is no Optibox support for North America.

To date, Optibox has released one NTSC file for North America and that was back in March 2012.

Optibox furnished us with a sat file that was several years old, so we took time and built a North American sat file from scratch. Optibox never used it.

We have spent time documenting and reporting firmware bugs. Optibox ignored us.

Now we have found bugs in the .fdu sat file and the Diseqc 1.2 settings. Nothing has been done to correct these problems.
[Only registered and activated users can see links]

Optibox could have owned the North American market had they paid us a little bit of attention and fixed a few things. It is not too late, but time is running out.
New receivers from other vendors are due out in 2013. People will lose interest in Optibox if there is no support for their products! EB

That was what I was wondering. Can you run Octagon fw or Something else on Anaconda? If so which octagon FW would I use ie 1008, 1018, 1028? looking for streaming besides E2.
I used the 1028 E2 on the anaconda and it worked fine, but I don't think that is the right one. Thanks in advance....

Also, the emails some of us sent to the Korea contact describing the lack of support with the current NA team (total silence). Heck, even the Optibox website is not as current as other Fortis receiver sites. I get better support from Openbox than Optibox, that's why I use their firmware and am very grateful to them. Heck, Optibox missed the boat, and it's sailing further and further away.

1028 Is for the Raptor. 1008 Is for the Anaconda but you have to be careful and select the correct 1008. I cannot support the Anaconda because I do not have one.
Currently, there is not a file that allows for streaming except E2.
Loading firmware(s) for different brands does not accomplish much unless you are looking for something specific. All of the firmware(s) share the same major bugs. Some brands update quicker than others, and this is to be expected because of sales. Fortis seems to update the brands that have the most users first. EB

Thanks, are the optibox firmwares coded or compressed , neither or both? In other words if you have an editor can you make changes to optibox firmware or do you need a source code etc?

Don't know.... May be wrong but I think they use STLinux distribution. If you like coding you might try to pop it open with an editor and see what's there.
