From what I can tell so far the moving dish message seems to have gone by the wayside. However It still won't switch the diseqc switch after going from fixed dish back to the motorized dish.

They sent it to me. Haven't noticed much difference. I would call all of their releases beta at this point

Thanks a lot rrorb

This was sent to you directly from x2??? I dont see it on the X2 page?? Its official or a beta??

P.d.
I hope they don't fall under the same situation manhattan went thru releasing different version to people thus creating a big mess!!
Beta test files should be specify as is. Files posted in their home page should be recognize as official factory releases

Thanks

p.d.
I'll not download the file and will not load it to my box till I see its an official release on their home page

I just noticed in the satellite setting menu when you go to the menu to adjust the motor to set the position you cannot bump the motor much before it just takes off and goes wherever it feels like. I do not recommend this firmware at all for anyone with a motorized dish. The USALS may work if your mount is perfect but the diseqc motor setting is very very flaky. One of the previous firmwares had this issue.

I just checked the X2 page and here is what they say has been improved:

What's New:
1- Improve LNB Manual Input Frequency
2- Improve DiSEq Switch with Motor Function
3- Revised USALS problem

I just checked the LNB menu and now there is a USER DEFINE option for the lnb frequency. There is a single and dual setting, pretty slick if it works! should be able to enter the bandstacked LNB settings or whatever is needed!

I setup my dmx741 lnb in user define mode to 5150/10750 and it works OK. I was able to blind scan in everything on 72W. The only funny thing is while scanning there is a heading that says transponder on the left and Ku band on the right. It doesn't switch from Ku band in the banner although it is scanning Cband and Ku.

I hooked up my 1 TB Hitachi drive to this and experimented with the recording and you can go to a channel with a working EPG and reserve a recording. When recording the channel list switches to just the channels on that transponder so you can watch any channel in the list while recording. I was not able to record a second channel while recording yet but the advance recording feature works. I don't do a lot of recording but the features seem to work OK. Not sure how they work on previous firmwares.
