I am trying to edit my s10 channel list. I tried the s9 editor but the file type doesn't seem to be the same. Is the tpsprog file the file I want to edit? what program is best?

How are you dumping the channel file from the S10?
You can dump the whole ABS file or just the sat/channel portion.

I just dumped the sat/channel portion. TPS_PROG.DBS The program I am using is the PVR800 editor.

I used to edit the S10 through the network. It was a lot easier for me. Anyway, do you have the .DBS Editor?

I don't have any editing programs that I use. I only edited my S9 channel list once over a year ago to get CW. I have an Octagon edit program that I have never used and am not sure what receivers it is compatible with.

See if the attached editor works for you.

Ya that one works. Thanks, it has more file options than the one I had.

When I open my file it prompts: User Database or Default Database. What is the difference?

Default Database is what you will see after a factory default. User Database is what the user has manually entered or scanned.
You want User Database for editing your scanned channels.

I do not remember the S10 having an editor that can be used through the network. I think you can transfer the satellite file through the network, but it is just as easy to save what you have edited to the usb drive and transfer it to the receiver using the usb port.
