What does it do?

I am guessing but if it's anything like the Openbox firmware, it should allow on-line updates of firmware, install updated plugins, install internetv+ urls (limited use), install internetv+ radio urls, install RSS news urls. BUT, I could be wrong.

Do people really have to come in here, squat, and deposit a little tidbit they picked up from some other place with no knowledge or understanding as to what it is, and now we have to guess what it does.
I don't know Mr. visiting staff Species, but he is obviously too busy to follow up on his 2am post.

Hi All, it is just happened to be away for a few days.
You enter the link under Network Settings--update Server, this is to allow on-line updates of new SW and plugins.
I tried it again this morning but it seems that the Ge*****ns made some changes and it requires some kind of registration/authentication now.
Everyone is on holidays now so it is hard to give answers. Just wait until my people are back and i will update the post.

Thanks..

TD, This is not for your model of OpenBox..it's for the Fortis brand like the Raptor, Anaconda ect, Fortis has there own Openbox model that is entirely different.
And Octagon can be run on the Raptor.

So let's not be to hard on someone who is trying to help please. That is just a general point and not pointed at anyone in particular...:peace:

I guess I should have been more explicit and said that I am using a Optibox Raptor box with a Fortis Openbox firmware. It can get a little sticky, just like when posters say a new feed is available on G19 when it would be just as easy if not easier for everyone to say 97W.
