I screwed up and upgraded firmware through wifi well I thought if there was no newer version than JAN 6th then it would just tell me that. WRONG, it downloaded and installed the DEC25th firmware. I've downloaded the JAN 5th from here and try to load it but there is nothing to load?? HELP PLEASE the DEC 25th sucks and is SLOW! Thanks!

What do you mean by saying there is nothing to load? Did you not get the firmware file in your download or is there another problem?

I got the file I loaded it on my USB stick and put it in, the file is there but there's nothing to load on to the X2?? I tried Costacac's sat file and it finds it and loads it fine but not the update??

Did you extract the update file first?
Is the file on a clean usb stick by itself?

What procedure are you using to load this firmware file? Describe what you are doing to load it.

OK I'm doing something wrong, it shows nothing is on the USB Stick. I reformatted reloaded and tried again. Nothing there??? It's a .rar file is this correct or do I need to convert it?? I'm missing a step somewhere?

The .rar has to be extracted. Do you have winrar or 7 zip? If not, Google and install one of them. Then use the program to unzip the file.

You can save the satellite information to USB. I do not have the X² anymore to help you with that. EB

2 ways, you can save your database internally to the box by Database backup. The box will keep a backup of your channels/ports etc internally. Another way is to save your database to an USB by Upgrade & backup and choose backupto usb and choose Database

Backup internal would be OK with me I can save it to USB too but there are a bunch that already have sat lists made for this box and IDK if anyone would be interested in another?? Mine is from 55.5w to 139 C and KU

OK really I can only have like 30 satellites active at one time??? How am i supposed to do both C and KU??? Maybe I'm missing something here? I just tried to make all my C sats active and had to turn a few off because it would not let me select anymore?

The 30 satellite limit has been mentioned several times.
You can connect your c and ku lnbs together using a 22KHz switch (Ecoda brand preferred) and have one satellite entry for both bands. The X² is capable of supporting a c/ku lnb in antenna setup. EB

SOAB I have a DISEqC Switch, both my dishes are motorized. CRAP Guess I'll have to buy another box. Can I make the dishes move together through DISEqC 1.2 commands?? Any other options?? Anyone tried to edit their own firmware? Guess the AZBox will be coming sooner than I thought! I really liked this receiver too!

It is not as big of a deal as you think. All you have to do is swap the switch and then get a bit creative withe the motor settings for c and ku. I have done this before.

Listed below are two links on Ebay for Ecoda 22 KHz switches. These switches cost less than 5 dollars a piece shipped. I suggest getting one of them and use your current receiver for a while longer. EB

What kind of creative programing are we talking about? I'm guessing I'll have to combine the C/KU satellites and wont be able to separate them?? I'm lost now. thought I was getting this box, it's all come to a screeching halt now!

You can combine the c/ku satellites or separate them. Universal lnb l.o. settings are 22KHz controlled and that is why you need the 22KHz switch.
