I am beta test new firmware it does have the 64 satellites and it works good so far, has a couple of some bugs. Still have more testing to do.

At least I was able to upload a copy of my previous database with this new beta (May 10 2013). Without a release note showing what was fixed or modify is hard to look or test for.

I want to let everyone known that the beta file was release for publish by someone and I beleive it was from here. For a very long time I had work closed with X2/Xsat testing their files as a beta tester and never passed the file to anyone until I see it is officially release. I want to let everyone knows that when we're talking about beta releases we need to make sure to whom who pass the file for. I feel real bad about going publish on this beta file. Attached is a C/P i received from X2 because they beleive I was the one who did it. I'm really pi... :swear:

That sucks Carlos. How many members on this site had the file? I flashed my x2 with it yesterday and scanned c band sats up to 24.5w but haven't gotten to it today.

I received a short message from X2 this morning as follows.


We are work to solve and improve all the issue which you mention to us and its very important that we make sure its will not effect the main function in this receiver.
The new software will release in next week and we already have the Beta software but is still under the test and legifta will be the first website to have it.

I have noticed one improvement in the beta file. When you press the sat button it doesn't automatically default to the top of the list but actually to the satellite that your on and it does allow for 64 stored positions but will only show you 32 if you hit the sat button, although you have more then 32 in the menu sat list. I just hope they address the audio/video issue as I have 2 receivers being used as my main scanners for both bands.

Not a word from X2 . They used to answer my e-mails but not anymore. I have a Spain movie channel on Satmex 5/8 Mis Peliculas which is scanned with the wrong audio type on most of the STBs. It scanned with Regular MPEG2 audio but it needs to be edit for ADTS_AAC audio type. I used the channel editor to fixed it on my Openbox but haven't found anyway to do it on the X2. I e-mailed last week to see if there is any way to do it using the EZM editor but haven't heard from them in a while.:thumbdown:

It could be that X2 doesnt reply to emails for the most part. The best support Ive gotten was from others who dont formally work for the company (at least not that I know of). Dont bother with their web page for anything but a picture of some LNBs and STBs. There's no real info there. Also no new firmware on the ftp site. I imagine they're trying to work out bugs still. People are still buying the boxes, so maybe there isnt as much of a rush. They have been continually improving the firmware. I cant imagine buying one of these in the beginning of its creation. So, maybe this is just a stumbling point and the development will continue.

Welcome to the forum Jay. We only support and discuss legitimate FTA satellite here. However, The older firmwares and I believe the current non us versions may have the options you are looking for.
