This is a real challenge getting this to work. I had the big dish for years and just shut it down 3 years ago so I am versed in sat dishes. I got it working well on g19 which is close to my 95 longitude. Now the rest of them sigh, dang thing seems to have a mind of its own. It finds satellites just not the right ones. Suggestions? :shy:

What are you using for a positioner?

The motor is a diseqc 1.2 and I am using the x2 to move the dish. I dont think they are talking that well. I set it to go to g16 and it went to g23 instead :hmmm:

I am pretty sure the Diseqc settings are stored in the motor so what I would do is reset the motor and start from scratch. Not sure what the history of usage is but maybe it has some old settings in it. Is it a Cband dish?

Well that did not work. I reset the motor and deleted all of the sats. I then put a few back in and went to g16. It went to amc16 instead. So I went back in and stored the position as amc16. Kinda slow going but this may work.

Cool, do you have another receiver you can test the diseqc settings with? You have a Ku dish you are using? What kind of motor?

The motor is a Moteck Sg-2100
and the dish is a GEOSATpro 36
It seem like the calibration is off somehow.

bare with rrob he will be able to help you out!! I dont run a motor and in this case the X2 work great for me. You should be able to work around and fix your problems. X2 is a great stb so far and the support is there!!

What is your due south satellite? I basically have the same motor setup. I have mine set to USALS and its pretty much dead on.

Due south would be g3, but there doesnt seem to be much on it. Once I found it I was able to find g19 fairly easy. I have it set on diseqc1.2/USALS is that correct?

Ya, if your southern satellite is set correctly at the midpoint on the motor, it should track correctly if you set each bird to USALS provided your mounting pole is plumb. My pole is off a little so sometimes I will switch a satellite to diseqc to fine tune it a couple of steps and then be sure to save that setting.
