View Full Version : Just maybe a silly question about the "backward" motor control buttons

Hi-

I have seen a bunch of comments that the X2 Premium receiver has "backward" motor controls. I am just curious, because mine does not seem to have that problem with my SG2100 motor. Here are my questions:

-Do some owners hit "west" and see their motors go east?

Or
-Do many/most other receivers have a "left-pointing" button used to go east?

Or
-Is it something else?

My receiver works properly as far as I expect it to. The east/west buttons are "backward" in terms of my physical position in the house compared to the dish, but I could fix that by swapping positions of the couch and my TV set. :) Or, it is true that the buttons are "backward" when looking at the back of the dish as it moves. I can also fix that by looking at the front of it as it moves! Maps always have North at the top, so West is on the left, and that is the way my X2 and dish work. Have I missed anything?

The buttons are correct as long as the dish moves West when the West button is pressed, and moves East when the East button is pressed.
