I just order me a box from england, i have been looking for about a 3 weeks,i kinded like this one technomate tm-f3/5 hdci lan satellite usb pvr 1080p. Has anyone heard about this box it has been releast last of dec.

I used to have a coolsat platmun recevier, one of the best boxes i ever oned, If you look on youtube you will find some models that have the firmware thats looks like the coolsat .thats why i chose the tm-3/5 recevier, but they updated the firmware in the tm-3/5 witch looks better.

I have 2 coolsat receivers that have been retired for some time now. I heard, from my buds across the pond, that Technomate receivers do not do blind scan on E2.

Been looking at the Technomate receivers for a while and thanks for giving me the itch big o, I just purchased the 5302 model which is supposed to have an extremely sensitive tuner. Can't wait to start testing it out.

Well i got a few posted any way. I really like this reciver, I would haft to say it is one of the best receiver that i have owned. it has got a beutiful inter face. It has alot of goodies to play with. The only thing i have found wrong is that it picks up dummy chanels witch does not hurt the blind scan in any way. I like the step blind scan for the s2 channels. And it scans in s2 channels in but dont list as s2 . Over at the Technomate web site these has been noted so they might come out with a patch pretty soon .

costactc, the tuner on the tm-f3/5hd is not as good as the xbox, It plexed on 101 west on metv.And the xbox did'nt.But i had the tm-f3/5hd slaved to the xbox. Don't know if that made a differnes or not.

That's odd as my 5302 scanned in a data tp at 63w that the x2 had no signal, I guess I'll just be a bit more patient.

It's like buying a new model car that just come out, They haft to get the bugs fixed. I do like the recevier but it needs some updates.

Yes, Rodder it is doing very well, But it needs an up date on picking up some dummy channels on some sat, every thing is dvd , when it picks a S2 it say it is dvd Qspk or something like that, It has a real good blind scan. Picks up all not like some receivers do that you haft to add the chainel to it...

Hi big o got one more question if you watch a 4.3 program like metv on 101 will it show it as letter box are stretched i like to watch those older shows in their original format.

Rodder, I have it on ku band, But there is a setting in the A/V settings that you can put it in full screen or pillar-box,I keep my set on full screen, the picture is great on original or hd Hope this helps.I like the pos. setting on the remote to bump the dish. you don't have to go to the menue to bump the dish.

Rodder,I bought my Technomate from smart direct also,I beleve you will be happy with it, There is space for 600 ip channels to load up, I got about 300 from uk some play some don't I am not to good on reviews maby you can add to it thanks Big o.

Well it has been 14 day's and no receiver and no communication i have sent 10 emails and Ebay has sent one trying to get a update are tracking number he will not answer so i gess i will have to open a case on him.

I had the exact same issue with my dr hd d15. I had to make a formal complaint at paypal, which suspended his account. I received a tracking number the day after, the pos never sent anything for a month. I hope your box arrives soon bud.

Hello, I am getting back into fta. I owned a orasat and skyview back in the day. It seems like this technomate 5302 is the way to go. Should I avoid direct-sat?

I had a very bad experience with direct sat. I also never got my box, I filed a complaint with paypal, and they refunded my money.

I got my technomate 5402M3 from [Only registered and activated users can see links] They are the best company that I have ever dealt with.

They shipped my receiver the second day I ordered it via UPS express. It took only 3 days From the time it left there shop, until it arrived at my door step.

never could find another deal on a Technomate but did on a D-15 so i ordered it.

The D15 is a great receiver and a great blind scanner but its tuner is not as sensitive as one would like. Great to hear you found a reputable seller.
