I have been experimenting with Picons on the Vu+ Duo2. I am sure there must be an automated way to attached Picons to a service but I never found an application that would work.

I did find that I could download the Lyngsat Logo *.png files and then use DeamBoxEdit and could right-click on a service while selecting "Assign Picon to service" then just select the *.png file desired. Took a while to manually get the links created and files renamed with the proper service reference name.

Once all the files had the correct service name format it was easy enough the FTP the files to /usr/share/enigma2/picon I never was able to get the picons to be reconized in any other subdirectory.

If it helps anyone... here are the picon logo source png files from Lyngsat for at least the service I tend to watch.

You can also keep your picons on a usb stick in the /picon folder and it will be recognized by most images. BH has to be told where to look.

There are other programs to play with such as Picon Manager, Picon Creator and E2 creator. They are all posted in the Duo2 sections if you want to try them.

Thanks. I'll try them. I tried Picon Creator v1.1 but give that a thumbs down. Now that the ones I like are loaded this is a lower priority for me now

100x60 is generally the standard size of picon used by most picon devs, that said ViX has a build in auto scaller that will scale up or down any picon to the required size.

on another note I have the original photoshop action file for the SGTFlipFlop picons if any one wants to have a play with it.
