If you have the VLC plugin installed in Firefox, you can watch a sat channel in the browser as long as you know the service ID.
Just type the following in the url address box of Firefox:
[Only registered and activated users can see links]²:8001/1:0:1:1:0:1:A1E8F86:0:0:0: -> this is METV as an example.
The sat channel referenced will pop up immediately in your browser.
