I dusted off my old mvidea fs 4000 and with echolite 790 v2.32 firmware each channel has it's own volume control setting, which comes in handy for those fta birds that have channels that the audio comes blasting through.
Firmware after that had the usual master volume control for all channels.
Initially a nuisance adjusting for each channel, but something you just have to do once.
Too bad newer models don't have that feature.

I have an old Pansat 330A with Digian firmware that stores volume setting for each channel. However, compared to the HDT and Pansat firmware, this feature reduces the number of channels that can be stored. Memory limitation...

for the mvidea I found you can manually edit the range of transponders it blindscans and also the sr range, which speeds up the blindscan process. The viewsat platinum with 9-11-2007 firmware was the last version to have blindscan and didn't have that option of editing.A blindscan could take over 1 hour per sat. They got rid of the feature for later firmwares.I was blaming the processor since they both used the same one but it was probably just the default settings they use.
