I've been scanning the Atlantic sats and I've found many tp that do not scan in manually on my zero but do scan in on my x2 premium III. Is the tuner on the zero the same as the other vu+ receivers?

I just scanned Intelsat 805 and the zero was up to the task as even the 4098 H tp scanned in, a bit glitchy but it usually is on most receivers I have tested.

The Zero is picky about the symbol rate and other transponder information. Make sure the correct transponder information is being entered in the Zero and it should scan almost anything that is available to you.

Just a bit off topic EB, if I change the image does everything get erased?

Yes.
Changing the image will erase all your settings and change the satellite.xml file. You may copy the lamedb file and the settings file from etc/enigma2. These two files contain all your antenna settings and channels. You would also need to copy the satellites.xml file from etc/tuxbox. All of your satellite settings and channels will not work correctly unless the satellites.xml that they were created with is installed in the image.

You can scan all the satellites and channels, then you can transfer them to almost any enigma2 image in 5-10 minutes providing you keep the lamedb file, settings file, and the satellites.xml file that you originally used.

Satellites.xml file attached.
