I just received my new android dvb-s2 satellite receiver. It is named the K1. It comes well packed in a gift style box with foam inserts. There is an hdmi cable and a usa adaptor to plug it into the wall. The satellite portion of the box works fairly well. It has ac3 audio but no 16apsk. There is some lag time when changing the channels on it. The blind scan is ok. Not the fastest and not the most accurate but it works ok with the different lnb settings I tried.

The box has built in wifi and the setup is simple. I did a speedtest after setting it up and it is getting the full 30 mbps which is the top speed of my internet. My logitech k400r bluetooth keyboard works well with it and is a must for this type of STB. There are 4 usb ports on the side of it and a memory card slot.

Overall the satellite side works much better than my gk526 android receiver I bought a couple years ago. I am still testing the android functions but this box advertises much more power than my older box.

It has kodi built in (14.2) and it has lots of video addons already installed. So it is taking some time to update them. I will most likely be deleting most of them when I test it but so far so good.

This receiver scans in the new radio mux on 105w saying no name on most of the channels. When you select the channels, the names come up automatically.
