I ordered one of these to try out. The price is certainly cheap enough. Hopefully the performance and durability can beat the m100 which was a very good receiver aside from not lasting very long.

I got the receiver today, it comes with a wifi stick, 2 remotes, cables, and an auxilary display/remote sensor. The menu icons resemble that of a smartphone. It is very basic and comes loaded with a 70 NA satellite list. I'm not seeing a way to change or add satellites. The info screen shows modulation and ber like the bargain receiver. I was able to verify ac3 audio right away.

I am looking for some channels with aac audio that I can test if anyone knows off hand. The low bitrate ones I tried would not play.

In order to add a satellite, you must go to installation and then auto scan. There the option is displayed.

I tested the ac3 audio and it works with radio stations.

This is a fine true FTA receiver and is very basic.

Sorry..we don't discuss cheap Chinese receivers here!

Oops never mind, thought I was on the other FTA sites were you can't talk about things they don't sell... lmao :bigclap:

AAC audio verified working. I can't test motor controls as my motor is down for the season. It does have a 1.5a power supply as opposed to most receivers like this having only 1 amp.

Need to wait 4 yeas and let the receiver "Mature". Then sell it for $199.00 with free shipping.:bigclap:

rrob311 seems to have the same affliction that I do. Collecting DVB receivers. I had just put an order in for one of these and will see how it does with my motor.

I also just got one of the Openbox (Skybox) V8's, and there are some things to like about it, but it has a nasty habit of corrupting/not updating the sat list and TP list.

I'd like to see how the box works with a motor. I did notice the power supply is 1.5 amps.
