Stumbled across this project on github hxxps://github.com/jmendeth/dm500-satip .So purchased old dreambox at thrift store less than $5. Great piece of work, been testing last couple days with Cband dvbs and dvbviewer for client should work fine with tvheadend also. Needed to tweek freq as tuner and client expect universal ku lnb so requires you to alter freq with equation 5150-freq=X+9750=new freq. Test last night dvbs sd working great, hd stumbled a bit may be dish alignment or network perhaps filter but great fun to re-purpose legacy equipment.
