As some of U know I'm about to set up my first C band dish. Got a GBOX V3000 Positioner to drive it going to use the S10 or the pansat9200, & a Quad Polar C Band LNBF Model: ESX242 That I got got from a good friend.

Pole is in the ground setting up hope to be working on it by the weekend.

Well, let the fun begin..looking forward to seeing you all setup. Sounds like you have everything you need. as long as that pole is plumb your on your way. It took me sometime to get on the arc even with the pole plumb, so just take your time tinkering..I still have some to do myself in the spring.

Great to hear you got the lnbf my friend and awesome to hear your starting already. S*** we have outside will have to melt before I can start digging for my 8' solid install. If you thought ku was any good you'll really like c band, especially the hd channels.

It will work but I prefer ribbon cable. If you have 2 coax coming into your house you can use both receivers as the lnbf is dual.

I got the dish on the Pole about time. Going to be 72 tomorrow so want to work on it. Is there a good how to for setting up a C band dish?

I have a shed near both Sat's so I would like to run the cables into the shed to a switch then one cable out to the house first can that be done. Want to use KU dish for KU & C band just for c band. Do U setup the C band the same way U setup a KU?

A c band dish works the same way as a ku dish. The only difference is the c band dish is usually bigger.
Look for your middle satellite first which will be the highest satellite in the sky at your location. This satellite will be directly South of you. Get this satellite first, then add the others. The c band dish will tilt back more because it is prime focus in design. The degrees of offset for a prime focus dish is 0. EB

I agree with EB on your most southern sat and your outer edge sats. Don't expect perfection on all 3 but a happy middle ground where signal quality is good. Seeing that my arc is from 11-127w, I use Amc6 at 72w as my southern sat and Intelsat 805 at 55w as my eastern sat(I don't like fine tuning with circular sats) and finally Galaxy 23 at 121w for my western side. Once those are scanned in well, all other sats should fall in place.

I'd like to help you out bud but I'm taking off on vacation. It looks fine in your pics, have you actually set up the actuator wires with the positioner?

It looks like you have the actuator installed correctly. There are only two connections and it looks like everything is ok. Put power to it and see if it moves the dish.

Thanks You Costa, I worked on it for a 4 hrs until it started getting dark. Put everything away & the sky opened up. wanted to smash the dish a few times trying to find 83W. LMAO Raining today as well.

Easiest of the c band sats is Galaxy 17 at 91w, scan in with awesome signal quality even on my 6' dish. If you get any signal at all, start skewing the lnbf to improve signal quality. Once you have obtained the best signal you can get pull the dish up or down to see if it improves- if it does either way you'll need to adjust your elevation.

Don't give up when you are in the arc you will see the birds. Can be a little frustrating at first but "C" band is easier the "KU" band.

You can see the birds in the clark belt on LYNGSAT.COM It is a pain but worth the trouble once you get it working. In the good old days things were easier with lots if analog channels to find, economics caused the switch to digital. I have a small hand held receiver and can scan the satellite to see what is on it and then watch on the built in screen.

Good to hear BB, it takes time and can be frustrating as well but well worth it once you have it tuned onto the Clark Belt.

I don't need it... I'm trying to use only commercial dishes. I was using it for a stationary AMC 8 dish but I replaced it with a 1.8 meter Prodelin.

I have another 8 ft CM waiting to be installed for domestic KU. The pole is in the ground and I need to work on the elevation turnbuckle, then I will need some help lifting the reflector up on the mount.

Sounds good, I just installed an 8' fortec solid for ku as well. My neighbour helped me fine tune it and we finally finished up today.

We ran out of lnbf since I wanted to use c band as well in setting it up. Lexmark modded a bsc621-2 and dmx741 and combined them. I have a bsc621-2d coming for the time being once the dish is 100%. I have an invacom qpf-031 flange combined with a 120 prime focus feed horn for the final ku set up.

Thanks goes to Hockeynut for his help fine tuning it.
I'm using the 9200 for C Band
