Has anyone tested any of the Amico series of receivers with the AAC audio feeds on AMC 8?

I can't get up that far. But on 87 SES 2 they had the CNN HD news in the clear one channel was AAC audio and worked fine.. AC...lol

The reason I asked is a friend is considering an Alien. Receivers such as the AZ will play AAC audio fine if it's associated with video, but won't play a thing on AMC 8. The S9-10-11-12 series plays the AMC 8 feeds fine.

I will be glad to test the optibox Raptor on some of those channels if it will help. I do not have an Amiko Alien at the moment.

Thank ya AC:th_thumbs20up:....Carlos alot of folks can get to 55.5 no prob but the question is are the AAC audio ch`s obtainable with an Alien on AMC 8? Maybe if you can give more info on the Intelsat 805 and results with your Alien then I can give it a shot with several receivers here and narrow this down..Thanks.

I'm not sure about the alien, my optibox anaconda had no problems on telemovil5 with AAC audio if that helps.

The Amiko Alien decodes the AAC audio on AMC 8 for me. EB
