How to Load USB Firmware Without Using the Receiver's Menus

There is a way to load firmware usb stick without using the receiver's menu. This procedure is easy to do and may be a good remedy for an emergency.

1. Remove All power from the receiver by either using the rocker switch on the back or by unplugging the receiver.

2. Select the firmware to be installed, unzip it, and install it on a freshly formatted fat 32 usb stick with at least 100 MB of storage. The firmware to be uploaded should be the Only thing installed on the usb stick.

3. Remove all usb drives and devices form the receiver. Then insert the prepared usb stick into the receiver.

4. Firmly Press the UP button on the receiver and hold it. Then turn the receiver ON.

5. The receiver should show Boot and then Scan. Release the UP button after SCAN appears and the firmware starts uploading.

6. Remove the usb stick and and reboot the receiver when the word Complete appears. EB
