Here is a picture of a S.A. dish I took out of service from one of our radio station towers. It hasn't been used for years, but just in case we need it again I left the mount in place where it could be restored to service. This was a beautiful Fall day last week with rare 80 deg temperatures and peak Northern colors.

Back to my yard, dropped it off in the dish farm. will go up on a post with a polar mount.
So many dishes, so little time.

All those colorful leaves from just a few days ago are now blown away by the side effects of hurricane Sandy here in Michigan. It is high winds, cold rain and only 40 deg today.

Nice dish! Is that reflector steel? How heavy is it?

Yes, the reflector is heavy gauge steel. Original install was 1983, but no hail dents or much weathering from years of Northern Michigan climate.
It is very heavy, the two of us can barely lift it off the trailer. I traded off my MicroHD receiver for the original orthomode feed mfg. for this dish. This will replace the single feed you see in the picture.
