Same here ,I have never lost any channels no matter what firmware. Once I spent all the time editing the channels I immediatly make a database backup inside the box so any time something weird happens i can restore it as i save it. I also make a copy to my USB as a backup. All my renamed channels that I edited using the channel editor and flagged them as SERVICE ID 0 (cero) are kept the same way. They will show up the way I saved them plus they're added at the end of the list with the regular PR-1, PR-2 etc etc.

There are some important bugs that maybe mentioned here
*X2SAT freezes when you accelerate zapping or inter crypted channels
*Renaming satellites is so hard and false when you add satellites
*Resolution is not constant or must be set again when power is gone

What do you mean by accelerate zapping, I turn my surge strip off ever night and have never had to reset the resolution ?
I know that the editor program takes some getting use to .

Firstly,
Editor program has bug when you install it.
Also;I set it up to 1080i/50hz but It comes to default value 1080p after power is gone.
Secondly,
This machine is freezing if CPU is at hard working.
It frezees when
*Editing channels a long time
*Zapping more and more on crypted and card sharing channels
I liked this machine and will like more if problems are gone.
Meanwhile I also bought an openbox x5.So This receiver has lots of features but It's not as stable as X2SAT.
I have also some Linux OS devices like Kathrein ufs-913,Mara M9,Technisat Digit ISIO S,Eycos E95.15HD

I just verified the losing channels problem again with the X2. I did a full scan of 103W C band last night. Turned on the receiver just moments ago and had the channels. I had 5 satellites in channel memory. I then did a blind scan of 91w Ku and scanned in about a dozen channels. I go back to the satellite list and 103W cband is gone.

Maybe, however I have never experienced this problem until using the latest official firmware. I have the maximum satellites selected in memory but it seems only about 5 will keep channels on them. I am going to hang tight on creating a channel list until this is resolved. I have mainly just been using the box to blind scan with.
