I've noticed one difference between E2 channels and those in both the normal firmware as well as the firmware in ALi boxes: One defined channel does it all!

Some of the PBS local uplink feed channels on AMC-21 have uplinkers that transmit in both DVB-S2/h.264 and DVB-S/MPEG-2.

In the normal firmware and in ALi boxes you have to define two channels to be able to select one whichever type is being uplinked. With Raptor firmware you can do this via the remote control in the Channel Editor. On an ALi box, you need to use a PC channel editor.

With E2 you only have to scan the channel once and as long as the PIDs are the same, it will show you whatever modulation/codec is being sent at the time.

Very convenient!
