Vu+ has excellent picture. You may want to add ATSC terrestrial channels at some point. They work exceptionally well for mein my Vu+ receivers.

Save your settings file in etc/enignma2 after you have scanned all the satellites. Then you can transfer the antenna settings to almost any image, and also have a backup of your antenna settings.

A satellite file with 83W ku added is attached. Put the file in etc/tuxbox then reboot.
I will get you a working satellite editor later today, time permitting.
OpenVix has a .pdf user manual that has been uploaded to this site. It should explain how to back up settings and the entire image to the hard drive. Let me know if you cannot find it.

The important thing to remember here is that the satellites.xml file like many others in enigma2 is a live system file. Just throwing it on to the box and rebooting has a fairly decent chance of failing as the file can become corrupted or overwritten by the current file in the flash at the time.

I know it's long winded and most people will say I'm talking shite but you really should place enigma to sleep via a telnet session before working with or transferring any live file to or from a E2 box, then restart the image so the changes are correctly taken up by the image.

Once you get the hang of it it's quite simple and fairly fast.

    1. Open a telnet session and login to your receiver.
    2. Issue the init 4 command (this exact spelling) this puts enigma to sleep.
    3. Do what ever you need to, such as transferring files to or from the box in ftp.
    4. When your happy issue the init 3 command to reboot enigma.

That's it job done, and zero chance of corrupting any live files in the image that may have been being used at that time.
