X2 Premium Mini won't boot

Received my mini from Amazon today but upon power up the little display says "Boot", then "0000", and the TV screens says "Program Not Exist!". Found the GXDownloaderV_V1.012 and teh x2-usa-apr2015 bin. When I run the downloader, after 16 minutes it shows a 100% load, but when I cycle power on the mini I get the same error. Tried erasing first, then loading, but still the same problem. Any ideas before I declare it a lemon and ship it back to Amazon?

April file is suppose to be load by USB. 0000 and program dont exist mean there is no channels scan in. If you dont get video it means the box is in Pal mode. Loader is to be use only to recovery purpose. Sometimes in order to do this you will need a special file and not always could be a regular bin file. If you have any video at all let us know what you see. What the tiny screen attached shows? Hang in there with us we can probably help you out. By the way, Welcome to legitfta!

Thanks for the reply Carlos. I can't get to where I can scan for channels. The TV screen shows "Program Not Exist!" and that's the only video I have. Nothing happens when I try things with the remote. Any pointers on loading via a USB stick?

Have you connect the small LCD provided in the packaging that connects to the IR ?? Remote control wont work unless this is connected. Once you connect this the remote will work when pointing to it.

Problem solved - operator error!!! I didn't properly seat the batteries in both remotes. Arghhh. The mini is working fine and have it connected to my home WiFi. Now to mount the dish.
