Well it finally arrived and is at the post office. Should be able to pick up tomorrow and start playing this week. First a couple of questions, I'm just Ku band for now and am wondering if NA sat list is included in most images and which image has the best blind scan if that is an applicable question.

Yes, most will have N.A. sats and the blind scan seems to be the same on any image just may look a little different.
I recommend starting with SatDreamGR-6 or OpenPLi 6.2 as they are both easier to navigate the menus when just getting started or atleast they are to me. Maybe I'm just old and slow. LOL

Tried to load SatDreamGR-6 and it seems not to want to load...the LED on front of box does not start to blink. Tried two different USB sticks and have the same issue. I'm sure it's something I'm doing wrong

Extract or unzip the vuplus folder from the file you downloaded. The receiver will not load unless the vuplus folder is present.
Put the vuplus folder on usb stick and insert usb stick into receiver.
Remove the ac power from the receiver, then apply ac power. Receiver will start loading the image once you do this.

Yes EB tried that with both the openpli and satdream images, wonder if I have a bad box? Is there anything else I need to do with a new box?

I doubt the box is bad.
Have you watched this video? It takes several minutes or the box to load. Once the box light starts flashing fast, remove the stick and restart the box by turning the rear rocker switch off and on.

This video shows OpenATV flashing, but the procedure is the same for any image.

Yes several times...perhaps it does not like the stick I'm using, will try another when I get home from work

I bought a Kingston stick to have, just for my Zero 4k
I never got it to work, I got one of my old sticks, formatted it, never has missed a beat
works every time. I would try another stick for sure.
When I tried the Kingston, no flashing on the receiver,, no nothing
Copy just the first folder You extract, as mentioned above, vuplus.
If you open that folder all the way to the zero 4k folder and copy it to the stick, it wont work
