Been there, done that. Do what Chewie says, IF you have another good image in one of the other slots. If you do NOT, it won't work. In that case, you'd have to flash a new image to a slot.

Menu button not working to get blue screen, fast or slow. How do I get the flash to show up? What is the proper file setting to get the flash to be recognized?

Explain EXACTLY what you did to make the receiver hang in boot. Also tell us if you have any other images installed in multiboot.

Usually there is some sort of "help" from the user to get the MIO to become stuck in boot.

What does the tv screen display?
    What does the MIO display?
Can you telnet to the box?
Have you tried manually accessing the multiboot menu by removing power from the box, then press the remote menu button repeatedly while restoring power to the box?

Blue boot menu should appear. Batteries good in the remote? Try disconnecting all usb devices and lnb in cable incase a problem there.

    Download attached file.
Unzip once, and place the osmio4k folder onto usb stick.
    Remove power from MIO.
Insert usb stick with osmio4k folder into back of receiver.
restore power to MIO and follow online instructions to flash image.
