EB, did you ever use the 955q with your Duo2 and SDG? Did it work correctly with the current driver?

I do not remember if I tested the 955 on the Duo2. Is there a problem with it? I can check and see if it works on mine if needed.

My 950q is starting to over heat and creates timer recording problems when zapping during the record process. Rather than buying another 950q I thought I'd check to see if the current driver was working ok with the 955q. Otherwise, I'll just stick with another 950q which I know works well with the current driver.

Just a follow up on some atsc 950 and 850 tuner problems I was having using SDG v.6.

In SDG v.6 for many months, had problems with atsc timer conflicts even though dates and times of the timers were totally different.

Had problems with the rewind and fast forward keys using << and >> which would cause the spinner in left corner to display and freeze the stb. A reboot was the only solution. Had to use the numeric keys for rewind and fast forward in order to avoid the spinner.

While recording an atsc channel, then watching a pre-recorded movie while the recording was in progress, worked ok. But stopping the playback and exiting to the atsc channel there was no video or sound for said channel. A reboot was the only solution. Switching to a c band or ku band channel from the movie exit, presented no problem.

While recording a c band or ku band channel, then switching to and watching a pre-recorded movie and exiting presented no problems.

Initially thought the extremely hot 950q was the culprit.

Then switched to SDG v.5 and the 950q worked fine albeit the temp still seems rather high to the touch. Used the same timer, setting, lamedb and bouquets files from v.6. So far, no errors using v.5 and the 950q.

Below are some of the notes I made to my self during testing SDG v.5 and 850 + 950q...

Using 850 usb tuner and SDG v.5.
11-12-2019 Tue to record 11-13 Wed AM
Left stb on Metv c band. Customize - dvb-T/-S/C - auto - auto

    4-test 125b ku 2:06 to 3:06 set to record - worked fine
5-test atsc 8.1 3:06 to 4:06 set to record - did not record
Error upon cold boot timer conflict test 3 and test 4. Atsc tuner not seen.
Enabled test 3 and restarted enigma gui. Atsc tuner seen and was able to enable test 4.

11-13-2019 Wed to record 11-14 Thu AM

    2-test 87 ku 2:01 to 3:02 set to record - worked

    11-16-2019 Sat
Left stb on 87 ku PBS create and at 7:00 pm it switched to atsc 8-1 death in paradise and recorded.

Since 11-14-2019 have been using the 950q and same timer settings (25 items), combination of c band on tuner A, ku band on tuner C, ku band on tuner D and the 950q on tuner E. So far, everything seems to work prior to upgrading to v.6 back in January. Hope it stays this way for a while.

Forgot to say that the usb Logitech keyboard had problems working with the SDG v.6. Many keys did not respond.

On V.5, the keyboard works again, allowing renaming a lot easier than using the RC.
