The attached image is designed for the Edision OS MIO 4Kplus or OS MIO 4K+ receiver. TNAP-2 is based on Sat DreamGr, and is designed for use in North America. Some features that are needed for Europe and other parts of the world have been deleted or eliminated. TNAP-2 is designed for easy use and installation. A tuner driver that performs well in blindscan and for channels that are on transponders that are around 4 MHZ apart is also used. It should be noted that this tuner driver Does Not have T2MI capability, and will not work on T2MI transponders.

As with any file posted at this site, Install and use TNAP-2 at your own risk. This enigma2 image has been tested, retested, then tested some more. It should perform well for what it was designed to do on your MIO+ receiver.

    Known Issues:
    (1) Wireless networks will not have their signal displayed properly. For encrypted or password protected wireless networks, use the remote to enter the password. Do not use the virtual keyboard. Wireless keyboards should work OK if they are reconized by the receiver.

    (2) Hauppauge 850 and 950 ATSC tuners Do Not Work! Hauppauge 955 Is Supported for ATSC in this image.

This image may be updated or amended in the near future if the Known Issues are fixed, or if something else useful is added. EB

You can discuss this Thread >>HERE<<.

Some changes have been made to the stock PLi blindscan plugin. First, the blindscan menu was streamlined by removing options that are not really needed in the MIO receivers for North America.

Most of the selectable options in the blindscan menu are saved once the blindscan is started. The start frequency and stop frequency are calculated at maximum in the blindscan plugin code. In other words, all frequencies the selected lnb is capable of receiving are scanned. The upper and lower frequency limits may be changed, but they are not saved once the blindscan starts. Most of the other settings such as type of scan, symbol rate...etc are saved once the actual blindscan starts, and will be set exactly the same when you return to the blindscan menu.

Blindscan data has been slightly altered. The tuner being scanned is shown at the bottom of this screen.

The MIO receivers will perform the best blindscan using a low symbol rate of 2 (2000 Msps), and a high symbol rate of 60 (60,000 Msps). Changing the symbol rates or the start/stop frequencies has very little effect on overall blindscan time.

Detailed scan reports are made anytime a scan is completed. These reports are made for blindscan, manual scan, terrestrial scan, and even a single transponder scan.Scan reports are stored by default in the /tmp folder of the receiver which is emptied on every reboot of the receiver.

Scan reports can be stored on the usb drive or on a designated hard drive. by making a folder named "ServiceScan"
Here is a list of how the scan report location is looked for:
usb stick with ServiceScan folder ="/media/usb/ServiceScan"
usb stick named FTA with ServiceScan folder ="/media/FTA/ServiceScan"
Hard Drive with ServiceScan folder= "/hdd/ServiceScan"

Note: The receiver may crash and restart if a ServiceScan folder is made, but the receiver has no rights to make a file in the folder. Be sure to share any ServiceScan folder so the receiver can use it!

Scan Reports are saved as .xml type format. This is only done for viewing purposes, and the file may be renamed to .txt for printing or simpler viewing.

    A Scan Report is attached.

The skin or the way the image looks may be changed. You may access the skins by following this path: Menu--->System--->GUI Settings--->Skin.

If you change skins, you may also want to change the bitrate view to extension instead of infobar. bitrate view is located in the Plugins menu

The blindscan window and letter sizes were changed to allow for easier viewing using the PD1Loi skin. These changes were made in the blindscan plugin and may/may not effect other skins. All of the skins in TNAP-2 have been tested to work. Use caution when loading untested skins as the receiver may become bootlooped! This is no problem to fix if you know how to do it.

It Is A Good Idea To Make A Full Image Backup Before Making Any Changes!

A full image backup may be done by using the BackSuite plugin located in the Plugins menu. Use of BackupSuite is easy. You need to make a blank file named backupstick, txt and install this blank file onto the usb stick you want to use for backups. Designated hard drives do not require the backupstick.txt file.

There are two types of channels or services that an enigma2 receiver knows about.
Type 1 is a regular tv channel with video.
Type2 is a radio channel or radio service.

Other channel or service types may be logged by the MIO/MIO+ receivers, but they will not be usable unless they are stored in a bouquet by the user. A Good example of this is 101w C band.

All of the channels shown above that are logged as "Unknown Service Type" Will Not Be Added the regular channel file. The Unknown channels will stay in the Last Scanned bouquet until another scan is done. If you want to keep any channels marked as "Unknown Service Type ", save them to a bouquet before another scan is done!

Don't forget the signal meter app!

The signal meter app can be installed on any Android device, and will allow streaming plus voice signal readings in db for the Edision enigma2 receivers. Dish alignment is simple and easy with this app as there is no need to disconnect any cables or haul any equipment out to the dish, providing that there is a wireless network signal where your dish is located.

The Raed Signal Meter is available in plugins. Setup of this meter is easy. Simply set the shortcut key you want to use for the meter and save it. This plugin likes to update a lot, and an update requires setting up the plugin shortcut again. An option to turn updates off is available.

Software Defined Radio is also available. This plugin is a lot of fun to play with, and could do a lot more if there was an interest in developing it. A proper SDR usb device is needed to use this plugin. A decent antenna also helps.

Current versions of TNAP are not designed to be updated. online The reasons for this is simple: System files have been altered, and online updates could overwrite the system files that have been altered. The end result after online updating could be an image that does not work correctly, or an image that will not boot.

Provisions are available to flash the other multiboot slots, or even flash a different image over TNAP.
