Try to load the emmc image without doing autorestore. Get a Blank usb drive, one with nothing on it. Put the TNAP-4 emmc on the blank drive and try to load it.
    This is with Putty:

That "system" file I posted above is from slot 2, NOT the latest TNAP-4. As far as it goes for flashing from a usb drive, I used a freshly formatted Sandisk 16gb pendrive, and just copied the "osmio4k" folder from a downloaded and unzipped TNAP-4.0-osmio4k_usb.zip file I downloaded from here. I just changed the "noforce" file to "force" inserted it in the receiver, plugged it in, and it flashed it. Then it did it's reboot after flash, comes up with the Edision splash screen, and then goes to a "no signal" on my tv set, and a second tv set I've tried. That happens with EVERY slot, and ALL of them were previously working just fine.

Here's the "settings" file from slot 1, with the flashed TNAP 4.0:

Download and install this: Openvix 5 4 003 Release Osmio4k Recovery Emmc (91.8M)
Link: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    That should erase every slot....

Ok, I downloaded, extracted, and flashed that file.

It flashed, and then rebooted. It then came up with an "Openvix all your support needs at world-of-satellite.com" splash screen, a second later, the tv reports no signal, and I'm left with the word "boot' on the front screen. Now, repower and try any of the other 3 slots, and they all just boot to the "OPENVIX" splash screen which STAYS there and doesn't go any further.

Oh, it appears I can still access it with Putty on slot 1, though the output now says Openvix 5.4. I can also ping it. I can no longer access it from Windows 10 File Manager.

Finally got done, and simply turned it off, only to wake up this morning and find it hosed in this state.

IF it was simply a video resolution or rate issue, I'd still be able to use the WebIF, and even that doesn't work.
I know you are still in the two year warranty window so you should be covered. That mio4k I have must be the same problem cause it is doing the same thing same putty outputs and all something no frame buffer.

Just got back from the UPS store, and it's going back to Brian for warranty. Bad timing with the holidays and shipping right now though.

Thanks for all your help, and MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Edision authorized a warranty replacement receiver, and Brian just shipped it out to me tonight. "It is likely a Boot Loader failure".

So hopefully, the new one lasts longer than the old one. Not sure what can cause a spontaneous boot loader error, especially when it was in hibernation when it happened, but oh well, at least it did it within the warranty period.
