I see some rumblings on a few other sites on support for the S9 ending..In the past the chinese site has released an S10 file and usualy within a few days an S9 file would be released. No new S9 file has been released after the latest S10 file this time.
They have the S10 and S11 and I believe an S12 now too. Looks like a classic case of grabbing as much money as possible releasing new boxes and dropping the older boxes to have the consumer buy new boxes.
Could it be ?

Typical money grab. Support a product until inventory is gone and then discard it. I guess we can't complain that much, after all for the price the s 9 gave a great bang for the buck and still one of my favourite receivers.

Well since it is linux based I think there will be a group of bright people who will be able to make something happen with this firmware. It is a very popular box.
