The Optibox receivers are capable of operating in PAL or NTSC video format. The current firmwares for Optibox default to PAL mode when the firmware is first loaded. Optibox sees this problem and has been kind enough to supply us with firmware that will boot in the NTSC video format for the Raptor, Anaconda, and Gekko receivers. There is also an option in the receiver's menu to change the video format from NTSC to PAL.
Listed below are easy steps to recover the Optibox receiver to NTSC if for some reason the receiver gets into the PAL video mode. These steps have been tested and we know they work. Be sure to use an usb flash drive that you know is good. We do not reccomend using any usb drive that is less than 100MB in size.

1. Format usb flash drive to fat32 and install the unzipped NTSC firmware file for your model of receiver onto the flash drive.
2. Insert usb drive into the receiver. Wait 15 seconds then press the red remote button, press the left arrow button, then press the OK button.

These steps will cause the firmware to load. EB
