i already bought a Vu+ clone i don"t want to get hooked again if i remember these had a good blind scan.

My former supplier still has the XXX in stock and I know he buy's direct from Golden Media so chances are the one on ebay is not a clone.

Your right Vi3pr they have a very good price if i decide on it i use to have the spark one and it was a good receiver i do not like these little cracker box receivers.

These are pretty much the same box as the Amiko Alien SHD8900 and the Edison Pingulux box. Same boards same firmware.
The chinese pretty much copied everything. The market in Europe was flooded with chinese Alien SHD8900 clones as well as the Golden Media boxes. No idea how much the chinese hit the market on your side of the pond, but as with most receivers the only way to guarentee you get an original is to buy from an approved retailer.

This box is still my favorite out of my collection. It has the most user friendly channel and satellite menu that I have used.
