There are good tester/coders to come up with new and better bin files (see anonymousx or good people from this site on all openbox series)

I personally can't compare both until my X2 arrives.. I have the X5, but just from reading it seems to me the X2 is just as fast at a blind scan as the X5.
So my logic would be why not get the X2 that will have some support and is cheaper than the X5.. But that's just the way I see things.

I am still waiting for my X2P to arrive so I can't make any comparisons yet. I am quite impressed with X5 thus far and would recommend it for somebody looking for a real fast blind scan and it doesn't miss tp.

Yes, Eyebox X5 OpenBox X5, same machine just different names.
There are some differences in the two, being X-Square was going to produce and support the box until some issues arose.
My X5 from X People came with NA plug and NA sat list...where the Openbox I don't think is the same.
X-SQUARE decided at this point to focus on the X2...So to me I would rather go with some support than none..we have seen openbox drop support many many times.
As usual another box is on the way....lol
