Hi everyone! I've been lurking a little bit, trying to see if I wanted to give the legit bird watching a go. I believe I can point a dish, used to play with those smaller ones a long time ago. I am going to order a proper Ku lnb, & try it on an un-moterized 36" salvage dish I scrounged up. Question: I have a SV 360 premier, will it work to start? If so please advise on how to reload factory bin, & how / will it be capable of blind scanning? Also a good bird to look at for my first try? Many thanks in advance, epuff.
 
Good to see you posting epuff. Your sonicview will do but not the greatest for fta and no hd. I would point my dish at Galaxy 19 at 97w because of the vast amount of channels and if you get good signal quality on that sat you'll know your dish is arcing.
 
Thank you for that. I ordered my lnb today, I'll post again when I have some news, or another question. I realize I will want to move up to a better dish, with motor, and a stb that will allow me to view HD, that will be next on my list after a few other un-related needs are met.
