ARTEL, Inc. has received the first contract award to provide satellite services under a new $5 billion General Services Administration (GSA) and Defense Information Services Agency (DISA) joint-contract vehicle.
The order, which is worth tens of millions of dollars, was the first award of the Future Commercial Satellite Communications (COMSATCOM) Services Acquisition (FCSA) contract, under the GSA Schedule, to provide Transponded Capacity and Subscription Services. "Being awarded the very first order under FCSA is recognition of ARTEL's strengths to develop innovative cost-effective satellite service solutions to meet the unique requirements of our government customers," said Abbas Yazdani, president and CEO of ARTEL. "This is further testament to ARTEL's capabilities to deliver solutions based on a diverse portfolio of global, secure, managed communications services and the ability to meet the stringent and evolving satellite requirements of the U.S. government."
