Shuttle recently debuted a low-power mini PC.

The DS437 - which can be snapped up for approximately $200 - is a fabless system powered by an Intel Celeron 1037 dual-core chip based on Intel's Ivy Bridge architecture.

Because the system is really quite barebones, the DS437 doesnÂ’t include memory or storage.

However, it is equipped with two DDR3 memory slots and a 2.5 inch drive bay.

Additional features include dual Ethernet jacks, HDMI and DVI ports, two USB 3.0 ports, four USB 2.0 ports and an RS-232.

As Liliputing's Brad Linder notes, the DS437 is being marketed by Shuttle as a "slim signage player" for kiosks, thin clients, or other commercial applications.

"But itÂ’d also make a relatively inexpensive option for a small, fanless home theater PC. It only needs a 65W power adapter, supports up to 16GB of RAM, and has a CPU with integrated graphics which should be good enough for most HD video tasks," Linder explained.

"Just donÂ’t expect to use a system with a Celeron 1037U chip and Intel HD graphics for bleeding edge gaming."

The DS437 can be snapped up at Provantage for about $200, or from the mitxpc123 shop on eBay for $230.
