This is a guide to help get started with installing and aligning a Ku Band FTA Satellite dish. This covers the basics and should give insight as to the steps involved and things to watch out for.

Hi- I recently installed a fta system on my house and I have been having a lot of problems with it. I have a 36" dish with a stab rotor SAT HH90 with an Invacom Quad Polar with 40mm horn and (2) x2 Premium IV receivers. My problem is that I aligned and set up dish as per lat. & long. Set motor as dish pointer suggested, checked signal with satellite tester, all find at this point. But it won't receive any channels. I first thought it was the receiver, tried second unit, same problem. It will tell me to please wait for moving dish to reference point. Nothing happens- I am currently awaiting word from x2 team on the receivers to see if they can help. I am wondering if any one has had this happen to them- Thanks

I do not have any experience with the X2 Premium receivers, it sounds like it might be Firmware problem regarding the USALS or Disecq? But otherwise, are you using a Standard Ku LNBF? it should be set to 10750 in the menu. You might want to post this in a new thread so you can receive help quicker. Other than that, you have to make sure the USALS menu has the correct Long and Lat numbers to make the dish motor work. Then you have to go into the satellite list, and pick a satellite you want to Blind Scan in. Make sure that satellite in the list is configured to use your motor so it will turn to it, then do a Blind Scan. Like I said, I don't have any knowledge about the X Premium receiver, so maybe someone can help you soon. try double checking all of your connections. :-)
