CBC on 107.3 Now Encrypted

Just did a scan of Anik F1R at 107.3 W and all CBC channels are now coming up encrypted with Powervu. Is it just me, or does it seem somewhat criminal to encrypt the network that is subsidized to the tune of 1 billion dollars per year, by Canadian taxpayers. Don't get me wrong, I wish the Federal Government would cut them loose and let them sink or swim on their own merits but if we are subsidizing them, there should be no encryption allowed by any provider, period!!

No way should they be encrypted when we pay through the nose for them.

On top of that even greedy Bell and Shaw has been charging customers for them even when they were not encrypted.. Now that sounds like PIRACY!
