I have an old Coolsat 8100HD which stop working properly on the FTA side. The ATSC is working fine. If I connect just one LNB straight to the box it willwork fine and will scan althe channels fine. Problem is that once I used a switch (Diseqc or 3x4) the box automatically goes to no signal. I have tried changing some parts (capacitors) randomly which look old but no one is bulge or burn. I see some members from the forum still have some 8000 or 8100. I will love to bring back alive this box since it was my main HD stb for a long time because its great to have the ATSC channel included. Can anyone has trobleshoot one or may have an idea what can be wrong??? Also, anyone with some electronic knowledge that can take some readings on the power outputs that can give some hints???? Will really appreciated!!!!


I have tried wiping the box with the clean file, re-load pirates/ factory firmwares w/out any luck. I'm using currently factory 2025A
 
Nope, no switch at all. It will go to no signal once I connect any switch. It scan fine connecting the coax directly from the LNB. I have replaced the fan and added an additional one.
 
The power supply died on mine and I had to have it rebuilt. the transformer was bad. It did all kinds of weird things.
 
hmm, I know I found a deal on ebay for the part. I will have to dig up the part number, mine would cut out and reset when it got hot. It wouldn't tune well either channels would drop out a lot.
