I've been looking for a 10' bud for my neighbour who has a 6' mesh and isn't pulling in those tough tp. A 10' bud in town and I asked the guy if we could remove it, seeing he has a small bell dish and the bud is almost covered in bushes, he said no- I can't see the point of keeping it in his yard.
I put an ad on craigs list about 10 days ago but that hasn't yielded any results. Placed an ad on my local kijiji site yesterday and I got 2 replies also. I went with my neighbour to check the one in Bainsville out and I think we have a winner. One tear, which is totally fixable and the dish is in great shape. A bit of tlc and my neighbour should have it up, with my help, by the end of July.
A couple of pics, small mesh holes so it can be used for ku band as well:

I forgot to mention that the dish is free. It's a 10' Star Trak in 4 coloumns. The dish arms will need to be replaced, luckily I have a set in my basement. The actuator looks to have ceased but my neighbour has a 24" jack on his 6'. The owner had gone fishing so I'm not sure if they have the old ird, the lady thinks she does but wasn't sure.
Lots of tlc and this beaut is going to be back in service shortly.

try freecycle i put an add on it one time at the old site and i had 30 responses. i just put"wanted old satallite dishes any size for hobbie.will come remove for free. i had 10 primestar people 10 foot dishes 6 foot dishes and 12 foot people calling me i had 30 dishes and know where to put them i didn't go get any of them. lol i just ran add for an experiment at the old site try it and then try cities close to you you'll fill a truck

We used to have a local penny grader paper but it doesn't exist anymore. Looks like we found one for the neighbour. Arrangements have been made for me to bring a truck home on wednesday for transport.
2 years back when I was looking for a bud, I got 35 responses, I even found one for my bud Stan who mods elsewhere.

i didn't post this before because there is a 10 foot dish for sale in classifieds and i didn't want to blow the market. lol there is a bunch you can get for free noone wants them in there yard anymore. i found one on the dump road one time posted a picture of it. little maf said i was jacking the dish.lol even pin fell out in the floor. post in free cycle if thats how you speel it. lol

I have 4 dishes within a mile that one could have. 2 of them I have talked to the owners about awhile back and 2 that still need to be contacted but have been parked for years and the people have small dishes. One is a solid aluminum and the other three are mesh. All over 8 feet or right at 8 feet. Here in northern Indiana and southern Michigan you don't drive far :nascar smilie: without seeing a big dish going to waste. Most in perfect shape too. Have a great day!

thats what it is.lol they sent me another email
