Slow Sunday.... while surfing the net came across the site listed below.

Free-To-Air (FTA) Service Market Size 2020 Including Growth Factors, Applications, Regional Analysis, Key Players and Forecasts to 2027 for a quite expensive fee.

The site does offer a "Request for Sample" if one desires.

While further surfing came across an Argentine fta forum. I was curious as to how covid has impacted the fta scene that far south. Using google translate, it seems the main concern is availability of affordable C band dishes. The post I read shows an op building his own C band dish and trying to solve problems with his two un-cooperative mesh panels.

Also, it's interesting to see the make and models of receivers being used by the ops.

Looking further towards the bottom of the forum, it displays the number of users from different countries. If one clicks on a flag, it will display the ops from that particular country.

Will see if finding some forums from those countries is worthwhile.

A friend of mine has just completed a 3m aluminum mesh kit from www.rfhamdesign.com with the optional SPID RAS motor for deep space monitoring. The landed cost on the dish kit was around $2500 and took him many months to assemble and tune. He is in the process of upgrading the motor and I'm considering purchasing the SPID for a future antenna project.
