Google will reportedly pay around three times as much for search traffic from Firefox users as it used to under a new deal with Mozilla, the non-profit organisation behind the open source browser.
The search giant faced rival bids from Microsoft and Yahoo!, which drove the price higher, according to AllThingsD.
Google will now pay just under $300m per year to be the default search engine in Firefox, compared to around $100, per year previously.
