The homeowner woke up at 5:08 a.m. and saw flames near his garage. When he went to investigate, he discovered the ribs burning on his barbecue and called police.

"The victim was able to extinguish the fire, however the meal was a total loss," police said.

A K9 unit found the suspect hiding in a nearby yard.

The man was arrested and police said he had other stolen items with him.

The man, not named by police, faces charges of break and enter, theft, possession of stolen property, breaching a weapons' prohibition, carrying a concealed weapon and trespassing at night.

Trespassing at night? Have we now gotten to the point where there is actually a differentiation between trespassing at night and during the day? Trespassing is trespassing, No? Is one more serious? Different penalties or just a way to make more paperwork?
