How to install plug in file

Put the ipk file on an usb stick. Then insert the stick into the receiver while a channel is playing. The box should ask if you want to install it.

You may need to reboot the box to see the plugin. Hard to say where it will be unless you tell us what you installed.

Tried it but it doesn't work on mine. Used the sub-title and then the text (teletext) buttons but no go.

Nice work East. Tell me how you installed it, I'm still looking for the plug in, re-boot did not bring it up. Here is the install instructions from the down load site, they don't make sense to me.

RaedQuickSignal for OE1.6 & OE2.0

How to install: Send plugin to /tmp and from telnet..
Code:
opkg install -force-overwrite /tmp/*.ipk

Like EB mentioned earlier, you can copy the ipk file to a usb stick and then just plug it in the receiver port. A screen will popup asking you to install the extension. After install just reboot and it should be in the plugins section.

If that doesn't work, use Filezilla to upload the ipk file to the tmp directory under your root folder. Then you can use putty (telnet) and log in with your ip address.
1- Type "init 4" without the quotes.
2- Type "opkg install -force-overwrite /tmp/*.ipk" without the quotes.
You will see a display message that it is installing the appropriate ipk file.
3- Type "init 6" without the quotes.

Your receiver should reboot and you should find it in the plugins section.

East,
Using Filezilla and your instructions installed and works fine. I like the plug in, was just what I was looking for. Thanks for the help guys. :)

There is also an option that will remap the remote keys to your liking. You may be able to customize what button you push to access your new plugin.

I found the remapping built in to the plugin, works fine. I'm using the text button on my remote for this. Also the E2 EGAMI image I'm running has a remapping feature in it.

Works fine for me.
This is an older plugin, so it should work on most E2 boxes.
I tried this on the Raptor running PKT Hyperion 4.5 and while it does work, I had to uninstall it, because the box locked up with the "busy" animation when trying to change channels. I noticed a plugin called "QuickSignalInfo (1.0)" in the PKT feed that does the same thing without the problem. Nice little plugin!

Not with ATV. It doesn't even pop up the correct display. Will load on other images and see. Works on NFR.
