After a couple of tests in low KU band @ 49.7°W, the satellite is now at 50°W, first signal found today on
12099 V 28330, unfortunately, this is a DATA TXP, there should be more Active TP, if someone can run a blindscan from your site to check signal in both polarization .
Thanks in advance.

When I get a chance, I will check this orbital position out. Just curious, is this supposed to be the replacement for Intelsat 1R?

Thanks in advance,
yes Intelsat 29e will replace 1R next week , 1R will move to 50.1°W (...)
the 2 satellites will stay closely.

Unfortunately my blind scan came up empty but I will attempt it one more time as my dish was pointed to about 48.5w, I didn't realise how close Int 29e was to Int 1r and the weather is a bit iffy with extremely high winds.

Another blind scan came up empty as well. The only tp to scan in were from Int 1R:

11051
11091
11131
11171 V 27900 s2/8psk 2/3

However there were 2 instances where the signal quality was high enough but no tp scanned in. They were probably data tp but I don't have a metre to be able to see exactly where, 12098 tp showed no signal for me.

Just to keep this thread alive... but there more active DATA tXP since yesterday, in Horizontal

11972 & 11012 H 30000 GS Stream enc

11068 H 1084 /4 QPSK empty now, but lockable with a demodulator, very strong here in Europe (28dB )
