IPTV Era??

Could just be a fad. I see problems or potential problems with it.

At one point, it was said that all cellular services would be moved up to satellite giving us greater coverage and eliminating almost all cellular towers. This went as far as some nice towers being advertised to be auctioned to the highest bidder! Having seen this, it is hard for me to say if internet tv will be the future or if it is something that many are starting to try.

The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence....Until you get put on the other side of the fence...

"Fewer people -- and particularly fewer young people -- want to pay for cable or satellite TV service."

I won't get too political here and just say that until these YOUNG people wake up and realize what is actually happening, they are in for a rude awakening as to what they will have to pay.

But yes, IPTV will continue to grow and rule for a while until it gets regulated.

Most people do not realize how much stuff they are pirating in North America, especially when using stuff like XBMC. When not many people are stealing, not much is done. But when the downloading of copyrighted materials increases enough, something can and will be done about it.

What I find funny is Hypocrites like Brian Gohl bashing people and calling them pirates for satellite theft, but selling boxes designed for Internet theft!

IPTV is all the rage over this side of the pond at the moment, and I have no doubt what so ever that people are going to be in for a massive shock when the movie studios and anti piracy groups start going after those who provide these streaming apps and plugins be they for XBMC or E2 in the form of TSmedia for example.

Strange?? The link all it mentioned is a legally Fish subscription using you streaming video devices. :hmmm:
