Lone Ranger finally gets the green light

It was one of the biggest cliffhangers in recent Hollywood memory, but the modern day version of The Lone Ranger will start shooting on February 6, 2012 in New Mexico. 


The film - planned for a May 31, 2013 release - will be directed by Gore Verbinski and star Armie Hammer in the lead role, along with Johnny Depp as Tonto.

Will be interesting to see how well this film does, by the sound of it they are riding on mostly Johnny Depp's popularity. Hopefully they will have a half decent storyline or just call it Tonto.
 
Johnny Depp is usually good, I can't think of a recent bad movie he's been in..on the other hand to be honest Ive never heard of Armie Hammer.

When I first heard that Johnny Depp was to star in the new Lone Ranger movie I thought that he'd make a good Lone Ranger, never crossed my mind that he would be Tonto, never heard of baking soda, I mean Armie (Armand )Hammer either.
